Note: This is a job in video game development. Please don’t apply if you haven’t shipped at least one game as a QA Tester. We’re looking for a QA Tester who doesn’t just click through lists, but sees what others miss. Someone who catches bugs early, breaks down messy playtest feedback into clear insights, and helps bring structure to how we test, track, and improve. Your Role: - Playtest internal builds and report bugs based on clearly assigned test goals – covering combat, stealth, UI, animation, level logic, progression, and performance
- Review external playtest sessions (video + form-based) and summarize key findings
- Document issues clearly – including videos, repro steps, and expected vs. actual behavior
- Maintain internal bug tracking docs, create and update test cases and checklists, and help establish clear QA processes
- Compare current and previous builds to identify regressions or unresolved issues
- Support internal documentation of QA workflows, tools, or test plans (optional, depending on experience)
What You Bring: - Experience in QA testing (games or software) – indie, freelance, or studio-based
- Structured, detail-focused mindset
- Strong understanding of gameplay quality – and the discipline to focus on what needs testing, not what feels interesting
- Solid communication skills in English (written + spoken)
- Ability to work either in-house (Berlin) or remotely
- Proficiency with tools like Excel, Google Docs, and JIRA – clear documentation and tracking are essential
This isn’t repetitive QA – it’s about flow, feel, and making the game truly shine. |
