Wendelin Pressl was born in Graz (1971), he lives and works in Vienna as a freelance visual artist. After studies at the master school for painting at the Ortweinschule in Graz (1993) he studied at the academy of fine arts in Vienna (2000). Numerous scholarships and residencies like amongst others in Rome (2004), Budapest (2005), Petömihályfa (2012) and Tirana (2013). Award of the city of Graz for visual arts (2009) and Austrian governmental grant for visual arts (2011). Various projects in public space like “REVUE” (Vienna, 2010), “Paradise Lost” (Graz, 2011) or “Meisterstück” (Salzburg, 2014).

2007 he published the artist book CIRCVS MAXIMVS at Schlebrügge.Editor and 2010 the project publication “Dort wo ich nicht bin, dort ist das Glück” at Bibliothek der Provinz.
2015 the monographic catalogue LUNA PARK was released at Revolver Publishing Berlin.
